The Arizona Cardinals could make some practice squad moves before they begin practice on Wednesday. According to the NFL transaction report on Tuesday, they brought in five linebackers for tryouts.

Well, Owen Pappoe was dealing with a quadriceps injury last week, although he did play in Week 1. Rookie linebacker Cody Simon suffered a concussion in the game and is in the league protocol, so it is unknown how long he will be unable to practice.

However, there could be some injuries at outside linebacker, too, based on the players they brought in.

5 linebacker tryouts Tuesday

The Cardinals brought in the following players:

Ford is an undrafted rookie out of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. He signed after going undrafted with the New York Giants. He is 6-3 and 240 pounds and can play edge and off the ball.

Morrow is 30 years old and has been in the league since 2017 with the Raiders, Bears, Eagles and Bills. He has 89 career games and 53 career starts. He had 182 special teams snaps for the Bills last season.

Powell-Ryland was drafted by the Eagles this year in the sixth round and was on their practice squad.

Riley has been in the league for eight years, drafted originally by the Atlanta Falcons in 2017. He has played for Atlanta, Philadelphia and Miami, where he spent the last three years. He has logged over 300 special teams snaps in each of the last three seasons.

Tindall was a third-round pick of the Dolphins in 2022. He played nearly 600 snaps on special teams in three seasons for them.
