The San Francisco 49ers officially announced several roster moves, many of which have already been reported. The team has signed wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team placed tight end George Kittle on the injured reserve list and also waived kicker Jake Moody.

Additionally, the team released wide receiver Robbie Chosen from the team’s practice squad.

The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.

Bourne (6-1, 205) originally entered the NFL after signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017. Throughout his eight-year NFL career with the 49ers (2017-20) and New England Patriots (2021-24), he has appeared in 111 games (34 starts) and registered 292 receptions for 3,714 yards and 22 touchdowns, and added 20 carries for 174 yards. He has also appeared in four postseason contests, where he tallied 13 receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns and one carry for 14 yards. In 2024, Bourne appeared in 12 games (nine starts) and totaled 28 receptions for 305 yards and one touchdown, and added one carry for six yards with the Patriots. He was released by New England on August 27, 2025.

A 30-year-old native of Portland, OR, Bourne attended Eastern Washington University (2013-16), where he appeared in 53 games (32 starts) and totaled 211 receptions for 3,130 yards and 27 touchdowns, and earned Second-Team All Big Sky honors as a senior in 2016.

Kittle (6-4, 250) registered 4 receptions for 25 yards and one touchdown in the team’s Week 1 win at Seattle.

Moody (6-1, 210) appeared in 32 games with San Francisco, where he connected on 46 of his 62 field goal attempts (74.2 percent) and 94 of his 96 extra point attempts (97.9 percent). He also saw action in three postseason contests where he connected on six of his eight field goal attempts (75.0 percent) and eight of his nine extra point attempts (88.9 percent) with the team.

Chosen (6-3, 185) originally signed to the team’s practice squad on August 27, 2025.
