BEAUMONT — Zemaiah Vaughn, a Beaumont native and former cornerback at the University of Utah, has signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. Vaughn is the first player from Beaumont United to sign an NFL contract. The Vikings announced the signing just hours after the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Vaughn, who started 31 consecutive games to end his college career, was one of 19 undrafted free agents signed by the Vikings, according to a news release from the team on Saturday night. Vaughn had been a consistent presence in Utah’s secondary over the past several seasons. He initially joined Utah’s team as a walk-on in 2020 after graduating from Beaumont United and worked his way up to become an all-conference cornerback.
