PHILADELPHIA, PA. – Jalen Carter has avoided a multi-game suspension and will play on Sunday against the Chiefs.

He was fined one week’s pay and since he did not play a single snap against the Cowboys. That will serve as his one game suspension. That’s a huge sigh of relief for the Birds as they prepare for a super bowl rematch on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Head coach Nick Sirianni stated, “When you go there, it’s always a challenge with the noise. It’s a loud stadium. Their fans get rowdy, and it will be a great atmosphere. I know they’re ready for that because of all the primetime games and big playoff games that they’ve played in, and we feel the same way, that we’ll be ready for it.”

“I only played there one time. I played there the AFC Championship, and it was electric then, so I’m not expecting nothing less.” Said Eagles star receiver AJ Brown.

Ask anyone in the Eagles locker room, when you face Kansas City, you know exactly who you’re dealing with. Patrick Mahomes is a problem for just about everybody.

“An elite quarterback really can do it all, use his legs to extend and make plays. Obviously can throw the ball really well and just a great overall quarterback.” Said Zach Baun.

Cooper Dejean added, “Not much has changed about him, you know, He’s still, you know, one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Makes a lot of plays on his feet. Can make about any throw on the field. Trying to keep him in the pocket as much as we can, you know, not allow him to get out and create plays with his feet, whether it’s throwing the ball down the field or running.”

The Eagles may have beat down the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but the past is the past. Week 2 is all about proving it all over again and making a statement early in the season.
