The new NFL season is underway, with several former Missouri football players spread out around the league.

Mizzou sent three players to the pros in the 2025 NFL Draft, which included a second straight year with a first-round pick. By the Tribune’s count, 16 former Mizzou players were on 53-man NFL rosters in Week 1, with several more — including the likes of Brady Cook and Harrison Mevis — on practice squads.

That number will jump to 17 players on active rosters in Week 2 of the NFL season, as Cody Schrader signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars from the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad on Tuesday.

Each week, the Tribune will keep track of how the Tigers currently on active rosters in the NFL have performed. Here’s how former Missouri players performed in Week 1 of the NFL calendar:

New home, same Armand Membou.

In the Jets’ 34-32 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Membou was tagged for zero sacks and zero pressures in 64 snaps. He did not allow a sack in the full 2024 season with Mizzou.

The right tackle was the No. 7-overall pick in this year’s draft. Per Zach Rosenblatt of The Athletic, Membou had the highest overall Week 1 PFF grade for a rookie offensive tackle since at least 2006.

And, for what it’s worth, he did all of that while frequently matched up with TJ Watt. Pretty good.

Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears

Burden was quiet in his NFL debut. He caught his lone target for a 3-yard loss and had a 44-yard kickoff return late in the first half for his first touch with the Bears.

There was a sight that Mizzou fans would be familiar with, as the Bears called a fake pitch to Burden from quarterback Caleb Williams at the goal line before converting for a fourth-quarter touchdown. MU offensive coordinator Kirby Moore successfully utilized goal-line misdirection with Burden a lot, often letting Brady Cook run it after faking a toss.

Darius Robinson, Arizona Cardinals

After missing much of his rookie season due to a calf injury, Robinson was on the field for 42 snaps in Arizona’s win over the New Orleans Saints. The former No. 27-overall pick had one QB hurry but wasn’t credited with any tackles.

Nick Bolton, Kansas City Chiefs

The fourth-year Chiefs linebacker had eight total tackles as the Chiefs lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil. He was on the field for all 65 of Kansas City’s defensive snaps and had two missed tackles while creating one pressure.

Isaiah McGuire, Cleveland Browns

McGuire, entering his third season with the Browns, had a sack, a hit and three hurries on Joe Burrow in the Browns’ loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He created five pressures in 29 total snaps.

Tyler Badie, Denver Broncos

Badie was on the field for 14 snaps in the Broncos’ Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans, playing primarily behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvery. The one-time Mizzou single-season rushing record holder was targeted five times in the win, catching two passes and picking up 16 yards.

Larry Borom, Miami Dolphins

The former Mizzou offensive lineman played 10 snaps at right tackle in his Miami debut. He didn’t allow any pressures and he received above-average grades for both run- and pass-blocking by PFF. Miami coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that Borom will start this upcoming weekend.

Ty’Ron Hopper, Green Bay Packers

A third-round pick in 2024, Hopper played one snap at linebacker for the Packers in their win over the Detroit Lions.

Jordan Elliott, San Francisco 49ers

The defensive tackle had three tackles in the 49ers’ win over the Seahawks. Elliott was not credited with any pressures on Seahawks QB Sam Darnold.

Marcus Bryant, Patriots: The left tackle was a seventh-round pick by the New England Patriots in the 2025 NFL Draft. Morgan Moses took all of New England’s snaps at right tackle, where Bryant practiced in the preseason.

Akayleb Evans, Panthers: The one-year Mizzou corner was signed by the Panthers last December after being waived by the Vikings. He did not appear in Week 1.

Dominic Lovett and Mekhi Wingo, Lions: Both players started their careers at Mizzou before transferring elsewhere. Neither Lovett nor Wingo played for the Lions this week.
