The Minnesota Vikings beat the Chicago Bears 27-24 on Monday night, but the win was emotionally and physically draining. Several players landed on the injury report on Wednesday, partly due to the effects of the game, and partly due to the short week that comes with a Monday night game.
Three starters headline Wednesday’s injury report. Blake Cashman (hamstring), Andrew Van Ginkel (concussion), and Ryan Kelly (toe) sat out of practice. RB Ty Chandler (knee), TE Josh Oliver (ankle), and CB Jeff Okudah (concussion) also missed practice with injuries.
There was some encouraging news, though. Harrison Smith (illness) was limited and spoke with reporters. Christian Darrisaw (knee) was a full participant and looks like he’s ready to start in Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Punt returner Myles Price (knee) was limited. WR Jalen Nailor (hand), RB Zavier Scott (ankle), and DL Elijah Williams (hamstring) were full participants.
Highlighting the Falcons’ injury report were wide receivers Darnell Mooney (shoulder) and Drake London (shoulder), who were both limited. Safety Demarco Helms (hamstring) and EDGE rusher James Pearce, Jr. (groin) were also limited.
WR Jamal Agnew (groin), safety Jordan Fuller (knee), OL Jack Nelson (calf), and WR Casey Washington (concussion) did not practice.
