NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Saints and Gov. Jeff Landry’s administration are close to finalizing a long-term lease of the Caesars Superdome that would keep the franchise in New Orleans for the next 10-30 years, according to FOX 8 Saints analyst Jeff Duncan of Nola.com- The Times-Picayune.

The deal, which three people familiar with the negotiations said could be announced as soon as next week, follows more than a year of difficult and contentious talks between the Saints and the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District.
The Exposition District is the board that oversees the state-owned Superdome.
Neither the Saints nor the LSED, also known as the Superdome Commission, have publicly shared details, but sources familiar with the discussions said the agreement includes a 10-year lease with four optional five-year extensions, which the Saints would have the right to exercise.

If all extensions are approved, the lease would run through 2055.
