Tyler Dragon: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
The Chiefs won’t get revenge in a Super Bowl 59 rematch. Patrick Mahomes has never started a season 0-2. That’ll change with year. The Chiefs don’t have enough playmakers without Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.
Christopher Bumbaca: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
Certainly, these teams are still pretty similar to the Super Bowl 59 matchup we watched seven months ago. Take into account the iffy nature of wide-receiver Xavier Worthy’s status, let alone effectiveness due to his shoulder injury, and the Eagles’ weakest component (the secondary) could have one less significant assignment.
Jon Hoefling: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
Philadelphia lost their best interior lineman and still held a potent Dallas offense to just 20 points (even if a lucky fumble played a large role). Kansas City, meanwhile, looked like it needed Mahomes to play at MVP levels just to keep pace with Los Angeles.
Jordan Mendoza: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
The Super Bowl rematch promises to be a great one. Kansas City hasn’t started a season 0-2 since 2014, when Alex Smith was quarterback. Philadelphia still looks too strong, and Mahomes falls to 0-2 for the first time in his career.
Lorenzo Reyes: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
Kansas City looks like a team that might be headed for a bit of a regression. Health at wide receiver is already an issue, and the defense gave up a ton of passing yards. Even with this one in Arrowhead, the Eagles have shown they know how to beat this team – and handily.
Blake Schuster: Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
Is this going to be a blowout? It’s starting to feel like it’s going to be a blowout. Hollywood Brown is de facto WR1 in Kansas City, but that won’t even matter if the Chiefs’ offense can’t stay on the field. Jalen Carter will have a big say in that.
