The Buffalo Bills are turning to the next page of their 2025 NFL season against the New York Jets.
Following another offseason that has built Super Bowl hopes, can the Bills continue their trek toward making that a reality?

But before we even get to kickoff, there will be a lot of Bills-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for during the lead up to Bills against the Jets in Week 2:
Hard to look away

While the Bills are onto the Jets, it’s going to be hard for many to look away from the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.
Buffalo circled the wagons and beat Baltimore in the final seconds in a 41-40 final on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 1.
The game will not soon be forgotten and for good reason. However, the the Bills themselves need to now look forward. It was an incredible turnaround from quarterback Josh Allen & Co., but the Jets will be look for their first win this upcoming weekend and will take advantage of any team not ready to go.

Another similar challenge
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields (7) scores a touchdown in the fourth quarter and celebrates with New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor (85), Sunday, September 7, 2025, in East Rutherford.
And if the Bills need any motivation from that Ravens comeback to stay focused on the Jets? New York is a pretty similar team.
Baltimore has a strong rushing game which includes a dual-threat quarterback. How would you describe the Jets? pretty much the same way.
Quarterback Justin Fields surprised for the Jets in Week 1 despite their season-opening loss. Running back Breece Hall surpassed 100 yards (107) rushing as well.
Secondary has a bigger problem

And again, another storyline that will be a challenge for Buffalo: The test upcoming for their secondary.
Most would consider Zay Flowers the Ravens’ No. 1 receiver… but not to the level of the Jets’ Garrett Wilson. Now factor in Flowers’ stat line of seven catches, 143 yards and a touchdown against the Bills in Week 1…

Wilson is a concern for a lackluster secondary in Buffalo…
New Jets coaching staff
New York Jets Head Coach, Aaron Glenn, is shown during his first game on job, Sunday, September 7, 2025, in East Rutherford.
Week 2 will be the first time the Bills will face this new-look Jets team.
Fields was already noted, but it’s brand new in New York from top-to-bottom. Head coach Aaron Glenn is going to get his first crack at Buffalo and a defending AFC East champion as a head coach.
Injury improvements?
CB Tre’Davious White: Signed by Los Angeles Rams (previous team: Buffalo Bills)
Speaking of some concerns with the Bills, some injuries would help. Notably in the secondary. The likes of cornerbacks Tre’Davious White (groin) and Maxwell Hairston (knee) did not play in Week 1. Hairston is still out on injured reserve, but will the Bills come into Week 2 healthier overall?
