Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown spoke with reporters before practice on Wednesday to share his thoughts on building chemistry with Patrick Mahomes during his breakout Week 1 performance.

“I mean, for us, we see it every day in practice. We always know what type of quarterback we(have) Got,” said Brown, “We always know the play is never over. He (Patrick Mahomes) brings that fire, and we just try to go out there and make plays for him (and) play hard.”

Brown was targeted more following the early shoulder injury to Xavier Worthy. He made a big splash with a late-game reception from Mahomes that kept the Chiefs’ hopes alive.

“I mean, for me, it did feel like I didn’t play football in a long time that first game,” said Brown, “So, I wasn’t toopleased with my performance, but I’ve come to work this week and (I’m) ready to get after it this weekfor sure.”

Brown stepped up after Worthy’s absence in Week 1 due to the injury, with ten impactful catches for 99 yards.
