Donovan Peoples-Jones, Hunter Dekkers among names to watch
The New Orleans Saints rookie class reported to rookie minicamp yesterday, which consisted of all nine of their draft players along with 11 undrafted free agents. While the main focus will be on the young talent entering into the league, the team will try out 16 additional players that could potentially be added to the roster.
Here’s a list of all 16 players who will be fighting for a chance on this summer’s roster:

A couple interesting names on this list starting with the obvious one in former Browns receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, who made some hay in 2022 after catching 61 passes for over 800 yards as a sixth round selection just a few years prior. There are also a couple of UTSA guys, something that Saints fans likely won’t love to see (only kidding), as well as local product Patrick Jenkins, a defensive lineman and New Orleans native out of Tulane. There’s always a guy or two out of these groups that makes some noise early on, but there’s always an uphill battle when it comes to sticking around. Hopefully we’ll get to see one of these guys make a name for themselves on a roster that could use the diamond in the rough.
