Multiple Austin-area schools played games Thursday in Week 3. Here’s the report for Central Texas football

Hendrickson 42, Hays 41: Pete Vallejo Jr. threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns as Hendrickson rallied from a 31-7 second-half deficit to open District 12-5A Division I play with a wild, come-from-behind win in a battle of two schools with Hawks as a mascot. EJ Neal-Adams’ 7-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter gave Hendrickson the lead. Romelo Boykin finished with 220 yards receiving and two touchdowns, Brayden Mueller hauled in two TD catches and had 150 yards receiving and Artis Duncan recorded a touchdown for Hendrickson. 

Waco Midway 38, Rouse 28: London Morgan threw for more than 300 yards for the third straight week, finishing with 379 yards and four touchdowns, but the Raiders suffered their first loss. Morgan hit Alfredo Lopez on two scoring passes and connected with Aubryn Davis and Peter Mietus for one TD apiece. Davis led Rouse receivers with 12 catches for 120 yards. 

Travis 55, Navarro 0: Rodney Mitchell rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns and had a receiving TD to lead the Rebels to their first win of the season. Vincent Black added 75 yards and a score for a Travis rushing attack finished with more than 300 yards.
