This rumor about Jefferson that’s floating around hasn’t been confirmed by a single verified source. Fans have fallen for a fake story.
Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson has been making headlines for the past 24 hours because of a story gaining serious traction online.
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University this past Wednesday. Footage of this terrifying scene surfaced online just minutes after it happened. On Friday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox announced that investigators arrested and identified 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the alleged shooter.

Kirk, 31, had a wife and two children. With that said, there’s a social media post going viral that claims Jefferson will pay all living expenses for Kirk’s children.
“Immediately after Charlie Kirk passed away, Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson immediately stepped in, pledging to pay all living and educational expenses for Kirk’s two children,” the Facebook post read. “This action not only eased the burden on Kirk’s family during this time of grief, but also caused a stir on social media, as many people expressed their admiration for Justin Jefferson’s kindness in this tearful moment.”

Is this story true?
As of this Friday, there’s zero reason to believe Jefferson will financially support Kirk’s family.

For starters, we can’t find a single connection between Jefferson and Kirk. It’s also worth noting that he hasn’t commented on the events that went down at Utah Valley University.
Jefferson, who signed a four-year, $140 million contract in 2024, is being praised online because of this fake story that’s floating around. He hasn’t responded to any of the kind messages he’s receiving on X and Instagram.
We’ll see if Jefferson is asked about this fake story either before or after the Vikings face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.
