Colston Loveland A Must-Sit Against Lions

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland made his NFL debut in Week 1 but had a quiet outing, catching both of his targets for just 12 yards in the 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. As expected, Loveland operated behind starter Cole Kmet, playing 57% of the snaps compared to Kmet’s 90%. In one-tight end sets, Kmet dominated the role with 77% of the snaps, while Loveland accounted for just 23%. The matchup is brutal in Week 2, as Loveland faces a Detroit Lions defense that allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends in 2024. Until he overtakes Kmet in the Bears’ tight end rotation, Loveland remains a stash-only option for fantasy managers.–Nathan Harvey
