Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick Shemar Stewart enjoyed a monster debut in the NFL. He even went wildly viral for throwing down a near 400-pound lineman with ease.
But Stewart? He regrets one big thing about his NFL debut.

As seen in footage from Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch, Stewart told reporters that his near-miss on a sack still haunts him.

Technically speaking, Stewart didn’t record a sack or tackle in his debut. But he was charted with some pressures and, true to the word of coaches, used all over the line in different looks.
Even so, it was clear the Bengals were taking it easy on Stewart as he eased his way into the pro game. That won’t continue as he gets more comfortable.
And even with Myles Murphy apparently scheduled for more playing time, it seems clear Stewart won’t need long to right this wrong from Week 1.
