Georgia Tech began its season with an impressive 27-20 road win at Colorado, then followed it up with a 59-12 trouncing of Gardner-Webb. The Yellow Jackets put up a monstrous 680 yards of offense against Gardner-Webb, with 457 coming through the air and 223 on the ground, including five touchdown runs, two from Malachi Hosley, two from Jamal Haynes, and one from J.P. Powell.
