Travis Hunter shares insight to mentality ahead of Jaguars vs. Bengals

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter will be tasked with playing more on the defensive side of the ball in Week 2 against the Bengals.

The new Jacksonville Jaguars era got off to a good start, but the defense will be put to the test today when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Travis Etienne erupted in Week 1 for 143 rushing yards, while Brian Thomas Jr. ran in a touchdown and Trevor Lawrence tossed another in a 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. Rookie Travis Hunter led the team with six catches, and while he didn’t see a ton of snaps on defense, that will change today.

That’s because the Bengals boast one of the most feared passing attacks in the NFL with Joe Burrow throwing to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. They won their opener 17-16 vs. the Cleveland Browns, though Burrow threw just 23 times for 113 yards with his lone TD going to tight end Noah Fant.

Bengals 31, Jaguars 24: “I didn’t believe the Bengals would start the season slowly, again, but here we are. Still, I think the Jaguars are just a bit more inexperienced and could struggle to stay with the big cats from up north.” – Demetrius Harvey, Florida Times-UnionSpread: Bengals by 3½Over/under: 49Moneyline: Jaguars +155, Bengals -185
