There’s lots of competition expected at New York Giants training camp this summer. Some will be for jobs, some will be to simply make the roster and others will be head-to-head offense-defense clashes.
One of those head-to-head clashes will be between former Penn State Nittany Lions: Second-year tight end Theo Johnson and this year’s top pick, linebacker Abdul Carter.

Johnson told reporters last month that Carter brings a “lot of juice” along with his enormous talent.
“I can say the same for him,” said Carter of Johnson after being drafted by the Giants. “We used to go at it at practice all the time and in the games. Us two going at it, we both dominated in the game. He’s in New York now, I’m going to meet him there. We’re going to be going at it in practice. It’s going to be all love. It’s going to be dope.”
Whatever went down between the two at State College has left both players ready to resume their little competition.
“We got into it a lot being on different sides of the ball,” Carter said during the pre-draft process. “But my last game, he just came up to me and gave me his respect. He has my respect. I like Theo.

“But wait until I see him again, though. We’ve got some unfinished business.”
Stay tuned. These two highly-rated athletes are ready to put on a show at camp. The Giants suddenly have much more talent in the building and you know what they say — iron sharpens iron.
