That was a tough one.

The New York Jets (0-2) saw the Buffalo Bills (2-0) come into their home and blow the doors off the place.

The Bills took a 30-10 win in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium. The only touchdown for New York came in garbage time, too. The game was not even as close as the scoreboard indicates.

With that, here are Jets Wire’s five takeaways from the Jets’ loss to the Bills:

Jets quarterback Justin Fields was the polar opposite of how he played a week ago. This one stat alone shows how:

Bills running back James Cook had 132 yards himself and averaged 6.3 yards per carry. As a team, the Bills had 224 rushing yards

The Jets could not stop the ground game at all. Tackling remains an issue.

Following the huge loss, head coach Aaron Glenn showed early signs of frustration with what’s going on with his team. During his press conference, he responded to three questions in a row by saying he needs to “look at the tape” instead of giving any analysis.

And truthfully, Glenn said himself that he takes some blame for the way the Jets played because they did not look ready to go. That is true.

Even more than Glenn, Tanner Engstrand was outmatched by the Bills. The Jets offensive coordinator was not helped out much by Fields, but Engstrand did not dial up a good game plan either.

In what was the first AFC East game under the watch of these new-look Jets… it looked awfully a lot like it has been in recent years: The Bills are the class of the division.

The Jets still have plenty of work to do.
