This week’s Southeastern Conference power rankings experienced a shakeup after multiple teams secured massive road victories against ranked opponents in Week 3.
Texas A&M was one of those programs that impressed on Saturday, as the Aggies defeated No. 8 Notre Dame on the road in a 41-40 comeback thriller in South Bend, Indiana. Quarterback Marcel Reed led the offensive unit 74 yards down the field and capped the impressive showing off with a game-winning touchdown pass to tight end Nate Boerkircher for the Aggies’ first non-conference road win against a top-10 opponent since 1979.

In Knoxville, Tennessee, the Georgia Bulldogs solidified their position ahead of the pack with a 44-41 win in Neyland Stadium in overtime. Kirby Smart proved why his squad remains one of the most talented rosters in college football this season. Regardless of the disappointing result from the Vols, it could always be worse. In Billy Napier’s fourth year at the helm, the Florida Gators continue to regress.
Meanwhile, programs like Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt have risen to the occasion and exceeded expectations through the first three weeks of this year’s campaign, as all remain undefeated.
With the hype already building for the Week 4 slate of SEC contests, here are the updated power rankings for the conference through three games of 2025:
