First things first.
The Buffalo Bills announced six signings on Friday, a group that includeds third-round defensive end Landon Jackson.
Buffalo also signed fifth-round defensive back Jordan Hancock, fifth-round tight end Jackson Hawes, sixth-round cornerback Dorian Strong, sixth-round offensive tackle Chase Lundt, and seventh-round wide receiver Kaden Prawther.

At this writing, first-round cornerback Maxwell Hairston, second-round defensive tackle T.J. Sanders and fourth-round defensive tackle Deone Walker are still to be signed.
For now? Arkansas edge rusher Jackson is an eye-catcher, not just due to his talent …
But also due to his role-model goal.
At his best, he believes his game can be modeled by one of the best edge rushers in the league.
“One guy is Maxx Crosby,” Jackson said, offering up a personal comp. “He’s a dog. He’s a high motor player. He knows how to fly around in the pass game and get after the quarterback, and then in the run game he knows how to set an edge and be a dominant defensive end.

“That’s the guy that I model my game after. I feel like we have a lot of similarities in body type and play style.”
Now, we don’t know Landon yet.
And we get the “body type” claim; in fact, Maxx is 6-5 and 255, and Landon is even bigger at 6-6 and 280.
But this self-comp is part shocker … and maybe a little cocky.
The four-time Pro Bowler Crosby has become one of the most feared edge rushers in the sport.
It’s good that Jackson had such high hopes for himself in his career, though … and it all starts now with him signing his contract.
