Simone Biles, the Olympic legend, was on hand to support her husband Jonathan Owens as his Chicago Bears were trounced by the Detroit Lions.

Biles is a titan of the Olympics. She left the 2024 Paris Games with gold medals in the team, all-around, and vault finals, and a silver in the floor routine, bringing her total Olympic medal count to 11 – including seven golds – throughout her career.

Recently, she gave fans a peek into her unfinished $3 million mansion that’s still under construction. The news comes after a former teammate of Biles said she felt ‘bullied’ by the Olympian.

Since Owens inked a two-year contract worth $4.75 million with the Bears, Biles has been seen at Soldier Field multiple times. She shared a tender kiss with her husband before the NFC North face-off against the Lions, a moment that was quickly posted on the NFL’s official social media channels.

Sadly, Biles’ attendance didn’t bring good fortune. Owens managed three tackles, but couldn’t stop the Lions offense, spearheaded by Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown, from bulldozing the Bears, reports the Mirror US.

Facing off against his former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who became the Bears’ head coach in the offseason, Goff completed 23-of-28 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Lions to a 52-21 victory. St. Brown racked up 115 yards and three touchdowns, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed 94 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Owens and Biles are one of the NFL’s most high-profile couples. Alongside Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, they exemplify a football star pairing with another celebrity outside the league.

The pair are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Biles was spotted at Ford Field on Sunday and is a regular fixture on NFL sidelines, while Owens was in Paris rooting for Biles as she made her triumphant comeback after her Tokyo trials four years prior.

Earlier this year, the couple graced the glamorous Met Gala in New York. When asked what was more nerve-wracking: preparing for the Olympics, an NFL game, or the Met Gala, Biles responded: “The Met Gala – only because I trained for the Olympics for my whole entire life, and this is just a one-day event. But we got in yesterday and did all the fittings, so it’s just a lot. Stressful.

“Definitely the Met,” Owens chimed in. “Just cause I feel her energy.”

In April 2023, Owens and Biles said their vows in a cozy courthouse ceremony. The following month, they threw a larger celebration with friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The lovebirds first crossed paths on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2020. At that time, Biles was already a four-time Olympic gold medalist and hailed as one of the greatest gymnasts ever, while Owens was playing for the Houston Texans during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Owens and his 0-2 Bears are set to face off against the Dallas Cowboys at Soldier Field in Week 12 on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Maybe Biles will be there once more, rooting for him from the sidelines.
