NASHVILLE — Rookie quarterback Cam Ward might be 0-2 with the Tennessee Titans, but he has found a reliable target. 2025 fourth-round receiver Elic Ayomanor has wasted no time in gaining his quarterback’s trust.
Ward threw his first career touchdown pass to Ayomanor in a 33-19 Week 2 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Rams.

The more “wow” plays Ayomanor can help Ward make, the better.
The rookie wide receiver from Stanford made two such contributions in front of his first regular-season home crowd. On a 3rd-and-7 play in the second quarter, Ayomanor made a clutch 23-yard catch, pinning the football down with one arm between his neck and shoulder pads. The touchdown reception came on that same drive in which a scrambling Ward found Ayomanor on 3rd-and-Goal from the 9.

Ayomanor finished the game with four receptions on six targets for 56 yards.
“I’ve always had confidence in him since day one,” said Ward of Ayomanor. “I knew it from the jump. Me and him went to the rookie premier. We had workouts. Me and him both wake up, working out and we throwing in the hotel room. I just knew me and him would connect on a lot of plays this season. I’m glad for it to be a big game like this and try to continue off that.”
Tennessee will look to rebound next Sunday at home in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts (2-0).
