Simone Biles, the Olympic legend, was on hand to support her husband Jonathan Owens as his Chicago Bears were crushed by the Detroit Lions.

Biles is a titan of the Olympics. She left the 2024 Paris Games with gold medals in team, all-around, and vault finals, and a silver in the floor routine, bringing her career total to 11 Olympic medals – seven of which are gold.

Recently, she was mistaken for Coco Gauff during an awkward US Open interview. Since Owens inked a two-year contract worth $4.75 million with the Bears, Biles has been a regular fixture at Soldier Field.

She shared a tender moment with her husband before the NFC North face-off against the Lions, a clip of which was quickly posted on the NFL’s official social media channels.

Sadly, Biles‘ presence didn’t bring good fortune. Owens managed three tackles, but was powerless to stop the Lions offense, spearheaded by Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown, from bulldozing the Bears.

Goff, facing his former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson who now helms the Bears, completed 23-of-28 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Lions to a 52-21 victory. St. Brown racked up 115 yards and three touchdowns, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed 94 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Owens and Biles are one of the NFL’s most high-profile couples. Alongside Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, they exemplify the trend of football stars pairing up with other celebrities outside the league.

The power couple, Biles and Owens, are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Biles was spotted at Ford Field on Sunday, frequently seen supporting from the NFL sidelines, while Owens was in Paris, cheering for Biles as she made her triumphant comeback after a challenging Tokyo Olympics four years prior.

Earlier this year, the duo graced the glamorous Met Gala in New York. When asked about what was more nerve-wracking: preparing for the Olympics, an NFL game, or the Met Gala, Biles responded: “The Met Gala – only because I trained for the Olympics for my whole entire life, and this is just a one-day event. But we got in yesterday and did all the fittings, so it’s just a lot. Stressful.”

DON’T MISS

In April 2023, Biles and Owens said their vows in a private courthouse ceremony. The following month, they threw a grand celebration with friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The love story of Biles and Owens began on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2020. At that time, Biles was already a four-time Olympic gold medalist and hailed as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.

They connected online during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic when Owens was playing for the Houston Texans.

Owens’ 0-2 Bears are set to face off against the Dallas Cowboys at Soldier Field in Week 12 on Sunday, Sept. 21. Maybe Biles will be there once more to root for him.
