There were years when it seemed that players couldn’t get out of Buffalo fast enough. Now, they’re all but begging to come back.

The Bills have almost made it a trend this year to bring back some of the older players who have made this team what it is today. Signing players like Jordan Philips and Jordan Poyer are moves that stood out for General Manager Brandon Beane. Last year, it was Micah Hyde.

Other players want to come back to the Bills

Now, other players are hoping to get their opportunity to come back to this team. It’s pretty common knowledge that former Bills receiver Isaiah McKenzie has been vocal about wanting to come back to the Bills. But within the last 24 hours, another Buffalo Bill has asked fans to speak up on his behalf so that he can come back too.

Marquise Goodwin started his career with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted by them in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He ended up dealing with some pretty big injuries that kept him sidelined in 2015. He had his most productive season in 2016 but was inconsistent, so he became a free agent after that season.

Since then, he has gone on to play with the 49ers, briefly with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Seattle Seahawks, the Chicago Bears, and most recently with the Cleveland Browns.

Should the Bills sign Marquise Goodwin?

One of Goodwin’s biggest assets was his speed. He was a former Olympic athlete when he originally came to the Bills. The question is about whether or not the Bills could use him. Normally, speed is something that is lost as players get older. Goodwin has been in the league for 12 years, which is pretty long.

I was always a fan of Goodwin. He seemed to be a pretty good guy, and he’s got a heck of a story. But the Bills have a pretty full wide receiver room right now. It’s a hard no from me, but what do you think? Could Marquise Goodwin help the Bills this year?
