Now this is cool. The New Orleans Saints made a much-anticipated announcement on when they’ll be breaking out their new white helmets — and it’s Week 3’s road game with the Seattle Seahawks. Unlike the alternate black lids, these helmets were designed to compliment the Saints’ popular “Color Rush” uniforms. The few photos we’ve seen of them together so far have made for one of the cleanest looks in the league.

Hopefully it makes a difference on Sunday. The Saints are riding a four-game win streak against Seattle, including wins on the road here in 2019 (33-27) and 2021 (13-10). But right now New Orleans is stuck in a two-game losing skid to start the 2025 season, and starting quarterback Spencer Rattler has a record of 0-8 while searching for his first career win. Righting the ship would go a long way.

If you’re curious, the Saints have achieved a 9-11 record in the “Color Rush” uniforms, which were introduced back in 2016. They’ve also used these uniforms in Seattle, and beaten the Seahawks while wearing them. They need to try anything that could help get into the win column.
