Colts rookie tight end Tyler Warren has picked his number; and it's got some history

INDIANAPOLIS — Tyler Warren’s beloved No. 44 is already in the hands of Colts middle linebacker Zaire Franklin.

The number Indianapolis has issued their first-round pick initially has its own history at the tight end position.

Warren has been issued No. 84, according to a video released by the Colts before the start of rookie minicamp, the same number worn by do-it-all tight end Jack Doyle for so many years in Indianapolis.

JT Tuimoloau will wear No. 91, Justin Walley No. 27, Jalen Travis No. 75, DJ Giddens No. 21, Riley Leonard No. 15, Tim Smith No. 93 and Hunter Wohler No. 30.
