The Buffalo Bills have a chance to stay undefeated on Thursday with the Miami Dolphins heading to Highmark Stadium.
The team is unfazed by the quick turnaround after Sunday’s win in the Meadowlands, as quarterback Josh Allen and company were back on the practice field Tuesday for their only full practice of the week.
They’re coming off a dominant performance against the New York Jets, and the reigning league MVP is feeling OK after his bloody nose Sunday.
“It doesn’t really impact much,” Allen said. “It’s weird to say but it’s a little warmer in there. Your voice kind of echoes off of it too, so it’s just a little bit weirder.”
The Dolphins are winless on the season, but that doesn’t mean the Bills are taking their opponent lightly in another AFC East divisional clash.
The Bills have their own issues to worry about, namely their banged-up defensive unit. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver and linebacker Matt Milano both missed practice with injuries. If Milano can’t go, that could mean Dorian Williams steps into his spot. Milano’s been out of the lineup many times over the past couple of seasons, so next man up is nothing new for this group.
“It’s how we work. How we go about our daily business. How we watch film. How we do everything,” said Williams. “You pick up little keys from everybody, the older guys, the younger guys. You take that into every week. You never know every week. It could be play one, play 100, you never know when you have to go in, so you have to prepare the same every week.”
The Bills have dominated the series against Miami of late, with a record of 15-2 in the Sean McDermott era with six-straight wins over their longtime rival.
