A former Michigan State offensive lineman has signed with a new NFL team.

Former Spartans offensive lineman Nick Samac has been signed off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad by the Carolina Panthers. The move was reported by ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday afternoon and confirmed by the Panthers in a press release.

Samac was drafted in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He didn’t appear in any games last year and was waived in cuts to the 53 this year.

Samac played for Michigan State from 2019 to 2023, where he appeared in 49 career games for the Spartans. He was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection during his time at Michigan State.
