CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two of the Browns draft picks signed their rookie contracts on Day 1 of rookie minicamp.
Second-round linebacker Carson Schwesinger, the No. 33 overall pick, and fourth-round running back Dylan Sampson, the No. 126 overall pick, both signed their contracts a few hours after practice.
They’re two of the Browns seven picks from this year’s class.
Terms of the contracts were not immediately available, but NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Schwesinger became the second second-round pick in NFL history to sign a fully-guaranteed deal. The first was Texans receiver Jayden Higgins, the No. 34 overall pick. Schwesinger’s deal is believed to be four years, $11.8 million.
Sampson and Schwesinger both participated in a spirited first day of Browns rookie minicamp, complete with multiple 11-on-11s and 7-on-7s. Fifty-six players participated, including 13 undrafted rookies and 26 tryout players.
