Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown on Isaac TeSlaa one-handed catches
Amon-Ra St. Brown said he promised Isaac TeSlaa a car if he catches another one-handed TD pass, which he just missed doing Sunday against the Bears.
The Detroit Lions placed tight end Shane Zylstra on injured reserve Tuesday as part of a slew of roster moves after their win over the Chicago Bears.
Zylstra injured his ankle while blocking on a punt return in the first quarter of the Lions‘ 52-21 victory. He was carted to the locker room after coming off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the game at halftime.
The Lions signed offensive lineman Trystan Colon off practice squad to the open spot on their 53-man roster. They also signed receiver Malik Cunningham and tight end Ross Dwelley to practice squad and cut linebacker Monty Rice from practice squad.
Colon made seven starts for the Arizona Cardinals last season and can play center or either guard spot. He joins Kayode Awosika, Gio Manu and Kingsley Eguakun as the Lions’ backup linemen. Awosika played as the team’s sixth lineman against the Bears and Manu and Eguakun saw their first career snaps on offense on the Lions’ final series.
The Lions (1-1) have just two tight ends on their 53-man roster, Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright. Dwelley joins tight end Zach Horton on practice squad.
Zylstra played six snaps in the Lions’ first two games as the team’s No. 3 tight end.
