Video of an NFL cheerleading squad warmup going terribly wrong went viral on social media this week.

NFL players aren’t the only ones who need to warm up before games. NFL cheerleaders have to get everything warmed up, too. NFL cheerleaders will typically get to the stadium a couple of hours before kickoff, in order to get ready for their three-plus hour performance on Sundays.

Unfortunately, one NFL cheerleading team’s warmup went terribly wrong on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of Sunday’s New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers game, a group of cheerleaders tried to warm up on the field.

It did not go well.

Video of a Saints cheerleader getting flung into the stadium turf is going viral on social media.

Saints cheerleaders warmup goes wrong

Video of a group of New Orleans Saints cheerleaders having a rough warmup session went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, this week.

“Forget football, the Saints can’t even figure out cheerleading. 👀😭,” one fan joked.

Thankfully, while the injury looked scary, the New Orleans Saints cheerleader appears to be OK.

Saints reporter Fletcher Mackel shared: “she is fine, uninjured after this fall.”

The Saints dropped to 0-2 on the season with Sunday’s 26-21 loss to the 49ers. New Orleans will take on Seattle in Week 3.
