EUGENE – Oregon junior linebacker Jerry Mixon Jr. didn’t play the humble role when asked about the rivalry with Oregon State and what he expects when the No. 6 Ducks host the Beavers Saturday at Autzen Stadium.
“It’s a big rivalry game,” he said following Tuesday’s practice. “Everybody pop out in Oregon. And just from being here, they’re our little bros and we go out there and kick their ass.”
Oregon (3-0) is a 32-point favorite over Oregon State (0-3).
Mixon, who graduated from Sacred Heart Prep in San Francisco, is 2-0 against the Beavers. The Ducks won 49-14 at OSU last season. In 2023, Oregon won 31-7 at home.
The Beavers won two of the previous three meetings.
