The New York Knicks are in an incredible position. They have a stranglehold on their second-round NBA Playoffs series against the Boston Celtics.

Both games came down to the wire after the Knicks faced 20-point deficits, but the Knicks pulled out both games on the road in TD Garden.

Their success has attracted the attention of many, and not just around the NBA.

Giants’ Abdul Carter delivers Knicks statement

New York Giants edge rusher Abdul Carter has quickly taken notice. Drafted to the Giants less than a month ago, Carter is starting to see just how important sports are in the New York City area.

In fact, Carter recently delivered a noteworthy statement ahead of Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

“Being up 2-0 right now versus the Celtics, the champions…they’re on a really good run, Carter said. “I’m starting to become a fan.”

Unfortunately, Carter may have to wait a little bit for those courtside seats. As of writing, Carter has yet to sign his rookie contract.

According to Spotrac.com, Carter’s contract as the third overall pick would be worth a guaranteed $45.1 million over four years.

If Carter has a major credit card, it’s not impossible that Knicks fans could see their new edge rusher in the stands for Game 3, knowing Carter will be good for the purchase.

While the Knicks possess a 2-0 lead, it’s no time to celebrate. The Celtics were the league’s best team on the road this season at 33-8.

Considering the Celtics almost overcame a 3-0 series deficit against the Miami Heat, giving Boston even a shred of life in the series would be a major mistake.
