Perhaps writers pass and return as psychologists. Maybe it’s the other way around. Maybe neither scenario is actual. Possibly the parallel lies simply in the writer’s desire to understand another’s thought process. That’s what makes conversations like the following between two Baltimore Ravens so interesting. Rod Woodson, meet Kyle Hamilton.
Rod Woodson’s final game with the Ravens was played on January 7, 2002. That’s over 20 years before Kyle Hamilton played in his first, but as fate would have it, both found their way to a ‘Legends 1-on-1 discussion.

If you’ve been busy with life or other things, here’s an update. This Kyle Hamilton fellow is a fantastic talent whose future is still brighter than his past. He’s also a student of the game, one who has soaked up knowledge by studying the all-time greats, including two who have played on both sides of the Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers rivalry.
Kyle Hamilton sees one aspect of the game more similar to Ed Reed than Troy Polamalu.
One day, we’ll kick our feet up and tell the grandchildren about the Ravens-Steelers rivalry and some of the greats who played in it. Many are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including two of the best safeties the game has ever seen: Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu.
Rod Woodson played for both franchises. He never played with Polamalu and his tenure in Baltimore ended before Reed’s began, but he, too, is a student of the game. During his chat with Kyle Hamilton, he asked the legend in the making about an aspect of his game and which HOFer he most identifies with.
There isn’t much more that needs to be said other than that’s classic television. Woodson and Hamilton chatted it up for about 35 minutes to discuss the influence basketball had on the young Raven, surprise idols, and more. Give this one a thorough watch when you have a minute.
