(WLUK) — Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed had not one, but two surgeries Tuesday, he announced on social media.
“Successful foot & clavicle surgery thank you God,” Reed wrote in a post on X, adding a praying hands emoji.
Reed broke his collarbone in the first quarter of last week’s Thursday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders.
In addition to the clavicle procedure, Reed also had surgery on a lingering Jones fracture in his left foot. He missed most of training camp because of that injury, but had been playing through it during the Packers’ matchups versus the Lions and Commanders.
Reed is now out indefinitely.
“He’s going to miss a lot of time,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said after the Washington game. “We’ll see how fast he can recover and heal, and certainly I would expect him back at some point this season, but obviously it’s a big blow to us.”
Luckily, LaFleur does not anticipate the foot surgery will add any more time to Reed’s recovery.
Following his surgeries and still freshly hopped up on anesthesia and pain meds, Reed went live on Instagram with the following message:
Packers to the Bowl, bruh. We turnt! We going all the f****** way.
Reed’s teammates and fans are anxiously awaiting his return.
