There is no chance that Justin Fields is going to be able to go.
As somewhat surprisingly, Aaron Glenn declared his quarterback out on a Wednesday.
Now he’s in concussion protocol, but rarely, look, it’s unlikely that a quarterback in concussion protocol can get through it in a week, but rarely does a coach come out on a Wednesday and say, nope, nope, he’s not playing.
So that means Tyrod Taylor is gonna get the go.
I wonder if this is a rookie head coaching mistake by Aaron Glenn, because I, I’m usually rolling my eyes at the whole like, we’re not gonna tell you who’s starting this week.

We don’t know if Cam Ward’s or quarterback won in week one, like stuff like that.
But everybody knows like, uh, you know, like the quarterback could make it in the concussion protocol or whatever, him ruling Justin Fields out on Wednesday.
I would think that that their opponent this week, the Buccaneers, is like, oh good, we don’t have to even worry about Justin Fields and film review.
We’re just spending all of our time on Tyrod Taylor, whereas they would have had to split that time.
I actually think this is an even bigger deal for the Jets than with many quarterbacks because a lot of times guys or teams, I should say, try to have a backup quarterback whose style of play resembles that of their starter.

Well, Tyro.
Does not have the same mobility and skill set with Justin Fields.
And while I’m not saying they’re going to run a different offense, I would say that they would accentuate completely different parts of the playbook.
I think we should totally expect that against the Buccaneers this year, or this week.
So if you should actually believe that, well, now the Buccaneers don’t have to prepare for what we saw in week one when Justin Fields was running that very successful run offense.
