There seems to be a consensus about the Los Angeles Rams after Week 2.

The Rams, who are 2-0 for the first time since they won the Super Bowl in 2021, are squarely in the top 10 of the NFL after two weeks of games. That makes sense given their unblemished record.

However, all of the power rankings we compiled put the Rams between Nos. 5 and 7, with the majority picking L.A. as the seventh-best team in the NFL following Week 2.

Again, this makes sense: The Rams eked out a win in Week 1 over the Houston Texans and need an offensive onslaught in the second half to take down the Tennessee Titans.

They’ll head into Week 3 with winning momentum before taking on the vaunted defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Here’s a roundup of power rankings for the Rams after Week 2.

For all of the headlines this offense generates, the defense has surrendered just one TD − a figure no other club can match.

Despite missing a significant portion of training camp with an aggravated disk in his back, Stafford has played well to start the season. Coach Sean McVay said Stafford was “in total command” in the second half of the Rams’ victory over the Titans. And although Stafford didn’t get as much training camp practice time as he had hoped with new wide receiver Davante Adams, the pair showed the chemistry they have built Sunday, connecting six times for 106 yards and a touchdown.

Fourteen catches for nearly 200 yards for the combination of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams in a win over the Titans. This is a defense that has settled in for the long haul as a top-10 pressure unit in the NFL after torturing C.J. Stroud and Cam Ward in back-to-back weeks. I’m warming to the idea that this is a possible Super Bowl team.

The 32-year-old hasn’t reached that mark since 2022, but he looks good paired with Matthew Stafford. On Sunday, Adams had 106 yards on six catches (and 13 targets). He also had his first touchdown in Los Angeles. Adams and the defense made the Rams look like the NFC West favorites.

The Rams really wanted to get Davante Adams going Sunday. He had 13 targets, and turned them into six catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. The Adams and Puka Nacua combination is going to be lethal.

The Rams are doing what they need to do, beating lesser AFC South opponents with their young defense. Few teams are as predictable and spectacular at the same time. Matthew Stafford’s back seems fine, doesn’t it?
