Tommy also loves spending time with his family and his wish was to have a sports experience that he could share with them.
To make his wish come true, the Bills and Make-A-Wish gave Tommy and his family a personalized tour of the team facility in Orchard Park a few weeks before the draft. Tommy was given a tour of the whole facility, including the weight room, indoor practice field and team locker room. He also met head coach Sean McDermott and was given a custom Bills jersey with his name on the back.
At the end of his tour, Bills GM Brandon Beane brought Tommy into his office to surprise him and tell him that he will be attending the NFL Draft to announce the Bills first-round pick on stage in front of the live audience.
Tommy told Beane that he is very into the draft and hopes the Bills pick a player on defense. His mother Susan, his father Thomas and his sister Megan all joined Tommy for his trip to Green Bay later this month for the NFL Draft.
“It brings a tear to my eye and I’m really excited to see him up on stage, soaking it all in and knowing this is his moment to shine,” his mother Susan said.
Tommy’s lifetime goal is to become a football coach. He plans on attending college to major in sports management or sports nutrition.
