My brother Matt and I are making our way to Seattle next week. Matt is a diehard Seahawks and Mariners fan, and neither of us have ever been to Seattle before.

I will be attending my first-ever NFL game this Sunday when the Seahawks host the Saints at Lumens Field. And, then we’ll see two Mariners games when the host the Rockies at T-Mobile Park on the ensuing Tuesday and Wednesday.

You won’t hear from me next week, so I have to make my love, hate and sleeper picks worth it for this upcoming week.

LOVE

Being in attendance for the Saints/Seahawks on Sunday, I feel compelled to theme my selections this week based on that contest.

First up, I love Kenneth Walker III in the game. The Saints defense is a big question mark and I expect Walker III to run all day on them.

One of the cool things I’m looking forward to the trip is watching sports on the west coast timezone. I’ve only been in that area once in my life, which was a trip to Las Vegas in 2019.

But, something about my New York Giants hosting the Kansas City Chiefs during Sunday Night Football at 5 p.m. Pacific time sounds cool to me.

Why not? Let’s go with my man Malik Nabers this week. He’s going to go for big numbers well before my bedtime.

My last pick this week is Bucky Irving. The Buccaneers and Jets will be on at 10 a.m. where I will be. So, I see a great start to the day with my picks as Irving will provide a huge day against the Jets.

HATE

Obviously, I’m going to be pulling for my brother’s team this week. And, there’s no way I’m going to chose a Seattle player as one of my hate selections.

So, let’s go with Spencer Rattler. The Seahawks are attempting to get over .500 for the first this season and I believe it could be a long outing for Rattler, who is 0-8 all-time in his career as a starting NFL quarterback.

I know I’ve said this before, but I don’t like when a running back goes against a tough Cleveland Browns defensive front line.

With that being said, Josh Jacobs, I don’t like for any fantasy team this week. This matchup reeks as a trap game for the Packers on the road.

Seeing Joe Burrow go down in Week 2 was hard to see. And, with Jake Browning now at QB, I don’t like Tee Higgins this week or any week as long as Burrow is out.

It will take time to see if this Bengals offense can stay afloat without Joey B but that is yet to be determined right now.

SLEEPER

How about Rome Odunze this week? After watching Russell Wilson throw all over on the Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 2 … yes, that overtime loss still stings me … just indicates that anybody can pass on the Cowboys this year.

So, let’s go with Odunze to have a big day receiving passes from Caleb Williams.

Dare I say his name? Carson Wentz? What year is this?

Who would have thought it would be a Wentz/Browning matchup in Week 3? Anybody?

I’m not saying that Wentz is going to have a spectacular game this week but l definitely like him as a sleeper.

We started with Saints versus Seahawks, let’s end with Saints vs. Seahawks.

How about AJ Barner? Now, that’s a sleeper. I think the Seattle tight end will find the end zone this week.

Also, my prediction for the game is: Seahawks 34, Saints 17.
