Getting out our crystal ball, we try and predict the Jaguars 2025 schedule

  • May 10, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The NFL schedule will be released on May 14 and the News4JAX sports staff is making its predictions on what that schedule will look like for the Jaguars.

Alessandra’s thoughts: I chose this schedule purely based on vibes. Week 1 should be a no-brainer, but apparently I’m wrong based on leaked reports. It would be must-see TV for the students of Sean McVay to go head-to-head with their teacher in the season opener, but we will have to wait until the Jaguars and Rams reportedly play in London. I completely got my London game wrong since the Jets AND Jaguars are both hosting games, but I wanted to go against the rules. Pack in the West Coast trips later in the season for drama as well as many of the AFC South games so the division winner won’t be decided until Week 18, which I have the Jaguars clinching. I am probably 100% wrong with this schedule, but it’s a fun little silly exercise of guessing.

Jamal’s thoughts: A lot of miles to travel for the Jags this season. I called the schedule makers and this is what we came up with. Wrapping the year at home against the Texans in a game that they hope will be for the AFC South.

Justin’s thoughts: The Jaguars will start the season at home for the first time since 2020. I wanted to find a spot for a true Sunday or Monday night prime-time game for the Jaguars, but I just couldn’t do it. Jacksonville was atrocious last year (4-13) and doesn’t move the needle in terms of the national perspective quite yet. The Travis Hunter angle is a nice one, and I think it earns a Thursday night game. The Rams in London is my favorite game, and one I predicted when I unveiled my schedule on TV on May 3. It’s the Liam Coen and James Gladstone game against the Los Angeles program where they really cut their NFL teeth.
