It’s difficult for Braelon Allen not to notice and reflect on his usage the past two weeks.

After what was an impressive training camp that generated a great deal of hype around the Jets’ run-heavy offense and the second-year running back, Allen has found himself underutilized so far this season.

The word “surprising” didn’t resonate with the 2024 fourth-round pick when asked about only playing nine snaps Sunday against the Bills.

Rather, Breece Hall’s understudy had trouble finding a word to describe the feeling. He later admitted it was “disappointing” not to be playing, but clarified that he never had any expectations about how the Jets would use him.
