The Seattle Seahawks’ second injury report of the week is an improvement from the first, but the main issue remained Thursday.
‘The light is coming on’ for Seahawks DT Byron Murphy II
The same four players who did not practice Wednesday continued to sit out Thursday. They are:
• Cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee)
• Safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle)
• Safety Julian Love (hamstring)
• Running back Zach Charbonnet (foot)
Witherspoon and Emmanwori both missed last Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with their injuries, though Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Monday they both could potentially return to play this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Love missed time in practice last week but played against the Steelers, while Charbonnet’s injury is new this week.
The good for the Seahawks is that four of the five players who were limited in practice Wednesday were full participants Thursday. Those four are:
• Linebacker Derick Hall (hip)
• Cornerback Josh Jobe (knee)
• Linebacker Ernest Jones (shoulder)
• Offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (elbow)
The only player who was limited both days was rookie wide receiver Tory Horton.

The Seahawks (1-1) will host the Saints (0-2) in a 1:05 p.m. Sunday game at Lumen Field. It will be a homecoming of sorts for first-year Saints head coach Kellen Moore, who is from Prosser, Wash.
Radio coverage on Seattle Sports of Sunday’s game will begin at 10 a.m. with the pregame show.
