With wins in their first two weeks of the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Rams will take on the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field with the hopes of moving to 3-0 and staying atop the NFC West.

To accomplish that goal, Los Angeles’ offense will likely have to play their best ball with one of the most experienced defensive coordinators in the game, Vic Fangio, on the opposing sideline.

Ahead of the contest, Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur shared a hilarious thought he had about facing Fangio again after they squared off twice last year, including in the postseason when the Eagles came out on top 28-22.

“I’m ready for him to hang it up,” LaFleur said. “He’s a stud. I said it last year. I don’t remember exactly what I said, but it’s no disrespect to anyone else that we’ve gone against from a coordinator perspective over the years, but he’s the most consistent. His defenses are always the best or one of the best. He evolves with the times. It feels like he’s always one step ahead of most offenses. It’s a problem and he’s got good players with it. It was a very smart move by Nick [Sirianni] to bring him in. I think you see it come to life on tape.”

LaFleur may have the best weapons he’s had to work with since taking over as Los Angeles’ offensive coordinator in 2023. With Matthew Stafford healthy, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams complimenting each other well and running back Kyren Williams always capable of a big game, the Rams are deadly.

Still, Fangio’s defense has held their opponents to 20 or fewer points in the first two weeks, so this will be a big test for the LaFleur and company, as it could be another playoff preview.
