Giants star OT Andrew Thomas (foot) appears to be on the verge of making his 2025 season debut, but head coach Brian Daboll won’t know until before kickoff Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Daboll said Friday that Thomas “had another good day” of practice on Thursday and the team’s decision will “probably go all the way up until game time.” The tackle has been limited in practice both days this week and they will “see where he’s at” after Friday’s practice.

The 26-year-old is recovering from a Lisfranc injury that ended his 2024 season after just six games.

Since signing a five-year, $117.5 million contract ahead of the 2023 season, including an at-the-time record for OL with $67 million guaranteed, Thomas has played in only 16 games, missing 18. He suffered a hamstring injury in the 2023 season opener and missed seven games.

When healthy, Thomas has been one of the best left tackles in the game and was named to the AP All-Pro second team in 2022.

The Giants could definitely use the boost to their offensive line on Sunday after QB Russell Wilson was sacked twice in Week 1 and three times in Week 2. Plus, replacement James Hudson III has had two dreadful performances, including being called for four penalties against the Dallas Cowboys before getting benched for rookie Marcus Mbow.
