The Atlanta Falcons have named their starting kicker for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Parker Romo will make his second consecutive start in place of Younghoe Koo. the team announced on Friday afternoon.

Romo was a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals attempts and converted his lone extra point attempt in Atlanta’s Week 2 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Despite the breakout performance, Romo is still on the practice squad while Koo remains on the team’s active 53-man roster.

The Falcons signed Romo after Koo struggled in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former Pro Bowler missed a 44-yard attempt that would have sent the game to overtime. Koo nearly missed another kick, which was enough for head coach Raheem Morris to make the change in Week 2.

Romo, 28, got the start against his former team and carried the offense on a day where the offense scored just a single touchdown.

The Falcons also ruled out cornerback A.J. Terrell and wide receiver Casey Washington for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Terrell suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 while Washington is still recovering from a concussion he suffered in Week 1.

Cornerback Mike Ford Jr. has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. On the bright side, wide receiver Darnell Mooney and tight end Kyle Pitts are good to go for Week 3.
