Will Jaguars’ OL Ezra Cleveland play against the Texans in Week 3? Here’s the latest injury update.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ left guard Ezra Cleveland is listed as questionable for the team’s Week 3 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Cleveland sustained an ankle injury in Week 2 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals and briefly exited the game before coming back on the field.

In practice this week, Cleveland did not participate on Wednesday or Thursday, but he was out there in a limited capacity on Friday, which is a step in the right direction.

At the start of the week, head coach Liam Coen mentioned needing to be mindful of Cleveland’s workload, but that he anticipated him being able to play this week.

However, anytime a player misses two full days of practice, it is certainly noteworthy.

“We may need to take care of him a little bit this week but we anticipate him being able to play Sunday,” Coen said on Monday.

With Wyatt Milum already ruled out, whether or not the Jaguars elevate an offensive lineman from the practice squad on Saturday could be quite telling when it comes to Cleveland’s status for Sunday’s game.

Cleveland and the Jaguars‘ offensive line as a whole are off to a very good start this season. Particularly against Cincinnati, Cleveland surrendered just one pressure over 45 pass-blocking snaps, and he had PFF’s second-best run-blocking grade among guards that week.
