SALT LAKE CITY – The Snow Canyon Warriors scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter of their 35-21 win over the Pine View Panthers in week six of 4A high school football on Friday.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the score was tied at 21-21. 12 seconds into the quarter, quarterback Parker Olson found Issaiah Thompson to give Snow Canyon tis first lead of the game.

Just before the final whistle, Cael Esplin punched in six on the goal-line to make it a two-score win for the Warriors.

Region 8

Uintah Utes 40 @ Timpanogos Timberwolves 68

The Timpanogos Timberwolves prevailed over the Uintah Utes in a game that saw over 100 points scored between the two teams. Timpanogos QB Andrew Hillstead threw five passing touchdowns, and Uintah’s Stetson Merkley had four of his own. The Timberwolves had two defensive touchdowns, a fumble recovery from Jesse King and a pick-six from Tristan Fa’atoafe.

No. 21 Salem Hills Skyhawks 25 @ Provo Bulldogs 49

The Provo Bulldogs’ offense came to play in a big week six win over the Salem Hills Skyhawks. Provo started each half strongly, with 14 points in the first quarter and 21 points in the third quarter. Both Teave Brown and Ronnie Wright scored two TDs for the Bulldogs.

Mountain View Bruins 14 @ Park City Miners 45

The Park City Miners scored 10 or more points in each of the first three quarters as they blew out the Mountain View Bruins on Friday. Owen Osorio and Eli Warner were versatile threats for Park City. Both had one receiving touchdown and one rushing touchdown in the win.

Hurricane Tigers 49 @ Dixie Flyers 2

The Hurricane Tigers held the Dixie Flyers scoreless on offense in their big week six win on Friday. Five of Hurricane’s seven touchdowns came on the ground,
Ryder Allred and Austyn McRoberts both had two scores. Quarterback Dylan Gabriel had two passing touchdowns, both of which went to senior receiver CJ Trump.

Desert Hills Thunder 7 @ No. 15 Crimson Cliffs Mustangs 42

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs took care of business in week six, scoring at least one touchdown in each quarter of their win over the Desert Hills Thunder. Quarterback Tanoai Andersen had three passing touchdowns and two receivers, Briton Phillips and Jaxson Holt, each had two scores.

Region 10

Juan Diego Soaring Eagle 35 @ Cottonwood Colts 6 

The Juan Diego Soaring Eagle took care of business on Thursday, scoring all of their points in the first three quarters and keeping the Cottonwood Colts winless. In the second quarter, quarterback Jacoby Ahlstrom and receiver Braylon Fail connected on three straight touchdowns from 35, 40, and 45 yards.

Murray Spartans 34 @ East Leopards 57

The East Leopards picked up their first win of the season in emphatic fashion, nearly dropping 60 points on the Murray Spartans on Friday. 43 of their 57 points came after halftime. Asaeli Otukolo, Dru Reuss, and Joseph Cooley all had two touchdowns in the Leopards’ win.

Skyline Eagles 42 @ Jordan Beetdiggers 13

The Skyline Eagles scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters as they stomped the Jordan Beetdiggers in week six. Quarterback Xavier Cocci had three total touchdowns, two through the air and a third with his legs. Both passing touchdowns went to Sione Tupua.

Region 11

Tooele Buffaloes 9 @ Bear River Bears 35

The Bear River Bears picked up their second win of the season with a convincing victory over the Tooele Buffaloes in week six. All 35 of the Bears’ points came in the first quarter. Two different quarterbacks had a touchdown each to two different receivers. Rigdon Vonk had two rushing TDs.

Green Canyon Wolves 19 @ Sky View Bobcats 30

The Sky View Bobcats came out on top in a back-and-forth week six contest against the Green Canyon Wolves. Sky View went up 14-3 in the first half, and Green Canyon responded with 10 quick points to close the half. Sky View scored the first TD after halftime, and the Wolves came back with one of their own on the ensuing possession. 10 unanswered sealed the deal late for the Bobcats.

No. 25 Stansbury Stallions 28 @ Mountain Crest Mustangs 26

The Stansbury Stallions scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to shock the Mountain Crest Mustangs on their home turf in week six. With 21 total points scored between the two teams through the first three quarters, the game blew open in the fourth quarter with 33 points. Ultimately, Stansbury had the majority of those points and came out on top.

Deseret Peak Golden Eagles 0 @ No. 4 Ridgeline Riverhawks 70

The Ridgeline Riverhawks were firing on all cylinders in a blowout and shutout win over the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles on Friday. Ridgeline scored 35 points in the first quarter and 26 in the second. Six of the offense’s eight touchdowns came on the ground, with Crosby West scoring three times. Both Krew Jones and Hunter Knighton had defensive touchdowns.
