Ah Yat overcame two interceptions in the win, completing 25-of-39 for 300 yards and two scores, both to Davis, who finished with five receptions for 98 yards.
Indiana State’s first venture on the road was a rough one as they were blasted on Sept. 12 at Indiana, then at No. 19 in the FBS rankings, 73-0. The Sycamores were outgained 680-77 on the day, getting just five first downs and punting 10 times. Indiana State opened with a 41-24 win at home over Division II McKendree on Aug. 28 before beating visiting Eastern Illinois 38-14 on Sept. 6.
