Don Shula was the second head coach in Miami Dolphins history. He led the team from 1970 to 1995. Shula was also the last coach to lead the Dolphins to a Super Bowl victory. Jimmy Johnson followed Shula in Miami much in the way he was handed the coaching job from Tom Landry in Dallas. Unlike with the Cowboys, Johnson didn’t win a Super Bowl with the Dolphins. He shouldn’t feel bad; none of the other coaches who followed him have done it, either.
